The 2024 SCHS picture day took place on August 27th, during math class. Although, headshots were taken by the same company as the year prior, Dean Stewart Photography (DSP), many feel that their picture does not accurately portray themselves.

      Many students are not happy with the outcome of their picture, many feel that pictures taken the years prior present themselves better. A student at SCHS, Tracy Lopez, says “They even edited my shirt to make me wear something completely different.” Students have mentioned other faults with their pictures such as differing facial features, hair color, and even hair style. Grace Cowell, another SCHS student, states “The pictures are inverted, which a lot of people don’t like that.”

      Currently, pictures are on display online and students have received their new ID’s. This came a little earlier than expected. According to Mr. Bullock, SCHS’ past yearbook teacher, “It’s usually two weeks until pictures are ready for student view”. This year, picture retakes will be on October 1st, catering to those who were absent only. Unfortunately, this is not for those who weren’t the biggest fan of their picture. As for seniors, Mr. Bullock says “The photos taken on picture day are just for IDs, senior portraits must be scheduled, if not, no picture will be displayed in their name.” With that being said, seniors must schedule their pictures if they want to be a part of the 2025 yearbook.
