The 2024-2025 school year is bringing many changes to Saint Cloud High Schools newspaper, The Cloud, to get more readers' attention. The Cloud is a student-run newspaper that seeks to report news to the school and community through their website, thecloudschs.com. Â
The staff is on a mission to focus on updating their website by providing it with a more modern look. The teacher of the journalism class, Mrs. Paulino, aims on the importance of the site having âa cohesive look, being easier to access, and being user friendly.â Having an easier navigation throughout the website will hopefully fascinate more viewers.
Abi LaClair, a second-year staff writer, states that her goal this year is to âmake more readers intrigued to find out more.â She hopes that by writing more engaging stories, it will attract a bigger audience. When there's a wide range of options to read, it makes the viewers want to read more. In the past, publications were made seasonally, all stories were published once a quarter.  As of present day, articles will be published more frequently on the site, which indicates there will be more stories. These stories will discuss various topics. Mrs. Paulino continues to âreceive information about what's up and coming at our schoolâ to provide more topics for the editors. Not only do the writers focus on in-school topics but also subjects they believe the majority of students would enjoy. While school events are the priority, âlocal news is also important, big events that students attend are also a popular hitâ, Abi proclaims. Â
The changes include more appealing appearance, wider variety of stories, and more viewers are assisting the popularity of The Cloudâs newspaper. Visit The Cloud more frequently to see these updates take place in the present day. Saint Cloud High School doesnât want to miss out on the excitement.
